Garage Workbench

A heavy-duty garage workbench with a dog hole grid on top, laid out with the Paulk TSO guide system so every hole lines up. The grid takes clamps and bench dogs for holding work from any angle.

The top is two 4x8 panels laminated together, a 3/4 in MDO board and a 4x8 hardwood board, so it's much thicker, about 1-1/2 in thick.

Moving the top: a SpeeCo 3/4 in hitch pin drops right into the dog holes and makes a handle for moving the top. If you have a helper, get two pins so each person has one to lift and carry the board.

What's next

Next up is a ceiling lift for the garage. Follow along on YouTube, TikTok or Instagram to see it come together. Four SpeeCo hitch pins drop into the dog holes so the lift can attach to the workbench top quickly. It lowers the top when it's time to work, then raises it up and out of the way so the cars fit back in the garage.
